Running back Kenjon Barner is doubtful and left tackle Marshall Newhouse is questionable.Turner and Short missed practice all week so it’s really no surprise that they won’t suit up on Sunday. We already knew that Newton would miss the game as well Limited Christian McCaffrey Jersey , so there’s not much to report that’s breaking news on that front. Kyle Allen will start in his place.Tyler Larsen will replace Turner on the offensive line, and if Newhouse is unable to play on Sunday then Chris Clark will be his replacement. Please keep Kyle Allen in your thoughts. Garrett Gilbert will be the No. 2 quarterback on Sunday, and if the game gets really out of hand, Michael Palardy will be the third emergency option. Here’s today’s full injury report:Panthers injury reportOutQB Cam Newton (shoulder)DT Kawann Short (calf)G Trai Turner (ankle)DoubtfulN/AQuestionableRB Kenjon Barner (knee)OT Marshall Newhouse (hip) * * *Did not participate in practiceQB Cam Newton (shoulder)DT Kawann Short (calf)G Trai Turner (ankle)Limited participation in practiceRB Kenjon Barner (knee)OT Marshall Newhouse (hip)DE Julius Peppers (rest)Full participation in practiceS Mike Adams (rest)DE Bryan Cox Jr. (non-injury)LB Thomas Davis (rest)C Ryan Kalil (rest)RB Christian McCaffrey (rest)Practice StatusDid not participate in practice = 0% of a player’s normal repetitionsLimited participation in practice = Less than 100% of a player’s normal repetitionsFull participation in practice = 100% of a player’s normal repetitionsGame StatusOut = Player will not playDoubtful = Player unlikely to playQuestionable = Uncertain if player will play The Panthers have added a familiar face to the running back room on a one-year deal."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Keep Sounding PodcastPanthers 2019 NFL DraftCSR Film RoomCarolina Panthers free agency 2019Carolina Panthers re-sign running back Cameron Artis-Payne to one-year contractNew Christian McCaffrey Panthers Jersey ,187commentsThe Panthers have added a familiar face to the running back room on a one-year deal.EDTShareTweetShareShareCarolina Panthers re-sign running back Cameron Artis-Payne to one-year contractThe Carolina Panthers have re-signed free agent running back Cameron Artis-Payne to a one-year contract, the team has announced.Artis-Payne is excited to stay in Carolina for one more year. The Panthers drafted Artis-Payne in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft and he has been used as a backup option to Jonathan Stewart and Christian McCaffrey ever since. He only has 118 carries for 491 yards and five touchdowns since joining the Panthers, but when he does get a chance to play he shows positive traits that would normally encourage the coaches to give him more playing time. For unknown reasons, however Elite Christian McCaffrey Jersey , that additional playing time has never materialized.Unless this is a super cheap one-year deal, this is a puzzling move by the Panthers since the coaching staff never uses Artis-Payne on game day unless a minimum of four other running backs have been injured. I guess Ron Rivera wants to take an opportunity to get another look at what CAP can do for the Panthers this season. Whether we actually get that look or not is yet to be determined. What do you think, Panthers fans? Do you like this move? Share your thoughts with us.
